Kuala Lumpur, being the capital of Malaysia is the main entry point for anyone coming into Malaysia. Therefore the network of hotels in Kuala Lumpur is one of the most extensive and you can be sure to find almost any type of hotels in Kuala Lumpur. Depending which part of the city you intend to reside in you are bound to find one that suits your budget and preference. Kuala Lumpur’s hotels are very much available everywhere and it really depends where you intend to spend most of your time in. if you are the shopping type, then you will find the hotels which are connected to the shopping malls great accommodation choices but if you are one who intends to walk around town looking for gems and attractions then convenience would be a better choice. This would be the Hilton or Le Meridien Hotel which are both located at KL Sentral, the main public transport checkpoint of Kuala Lumpur. Right into the heart of Kuala Lumpur are the usual five star hotels like JW Marriot, Ritz-Carlton and Westin Hotel all located within the shopping parade of Pavilion, Star Hill Gallery, Lot 10 and Sungei Wang Plaza in Bukit Bintang. One of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest hotels here is Federal Hotel, housed along the main shopping street. This area is also very much known for its budget accommodation located in along Jalan Alor and Tengkat Tong Shin, just minutes away from the busy Bukit Bintang. The two streets have been converted from a pre-war architecture housing residence to a row of backpackers’ street. If you head out further the suburbans of the city, you will be able to find other hotels like the newly opened One World Hotel located in Bandar Utama just next to the very popular shopping mall One Utama. The Royale Bintang Hotel also is located nearby in Damansara Perdana. Otherwise you can also choose to stay in around Mid Valley Mega Mall where there are 2 hotels to choose from, Cititel and Boulevard Hotel, both of which are connected to the mall, making them very convenient choices.
